"Kente
and Gold" is a unique ethnic lyrical combination of fashion and
theatre of Ghanaian and African designing.
It is our aim to make known the history and cultural values of Ghana and the rest of the African countries through its famous products and art. We will also further acknowledge the hard work, talent, skill of the Kente weavers, and their contribution to the world of art and culture.
This is not a trend, it is a style that is deep-rooted in tradition and continues to go in different directions.
The rich colourful images of Africa textiles paraded a true exhibition of fashion show, market and workshop.
The show premiered at IMAGES OF THE WORLD 2000 in DGI byen, Copenhagen.
